Pirelli Policy for Health, Safety, Environment and Corporate Social Responsibility

Through the publication of the Group's "Policy for Health, Safety, Environment and Social Responsibility (HSE & CSR Policy)", signed by the Chairman in June 2004, Pirelli has  internally diffused and at the same time strengthened its guarantee for a correct balance between sustainability and industrial development.

By referring to the fundamental principle of sustainable development, the HSE & CSR Policy combines in one document and in an integrated way all the previous group policies concerning the environment ("Pirelli Policy for the Environment", issued in July 1995 and updated in September 2000) and safety at work ("Pirelli Policy for Safety at Work", issued in September 2000 and focused on the protection of integrity, health and wellness of the Group's employees, considering these as matters of primary importance to be respected while managing the Company's activities).

The HSE & CSR Policy has been translated into all the different laguages spoken within the Group's Affiliates and has been communicated to all Pirelli employees in the respective local language.
